About the Initiative
The Commonwealth of Virginia is one of the top three states for the number of active-duty military members, percentage of adult population that are veterans, and number of military bases. Past and present service members and their families constitute an important population within our community who face unique needs and challenges.
The goal of this initiative is to give back to those who give to our nation by helping service members, veterans, and their family members through education, direct services, research, and workforce development at George Mason University.
