MAP Clinics

George Mason University’s Mason and Partners (MAP) clinics serve the uninsured, immigrant, and refugee community within Prince William and Fairfax counties in Northern Virginia. These bridge-care model free clinics, located in Manassas, Springfield, and Culmore, provide health care, school physicals, screenings, and mental health services for vulnerable populations located in low income and medically underserved areas (MUA). The ambulatory clinics provide to the community referrals, resources, and case management for medical home placement; wellness and integrated care workshops; and group care for chronic disease management and education.

SMART Lab

The SMART Laboratory – Innovation is a 3,800 square- foot state-of-the-art facility housed adjacent to the Science and Technology Campus. Research conducted at this laboratory includes, but is not limited to lower extremity neuromechanical assessment, post-traumatic osteoarthritis mechanical factors, muscle dynamics via diagnostic ultrasound, and traumatic brain injury (TBI)- Concussions.

The SMART Laboratory – Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center is a 2000 square- foot facility housed in the Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center on the Science and Technology Campus, an innovative joint partnership among George Mason University, Prince William County, and the City of Manassas. Research conducted at this laboratory includes, but is not limited to gait and running assessment for injury prevention, cardiovascular fitness, and body composition assessment. This facility also provides services to the community using evidence-based research and state-of-the art equipment.
